AgriTrack is an application designed to monitor capacity-building activities in the agricultural sector.
The project aims to centralize information about activities, participants, and the various entities involved. It provides a structured way to manage operational data and analyze it through monitoring and statistical reporting features.
AgriTrack is a business application whose complexity lies not only in its visible features but also in its data modeling, access management, and relationships between the different entities in the system.
A Data Model Centered on Actors and Activities
One of AgriTrack's key design principles is the distinction between user accounts and business actors.
A user account represents an identity within the system, whereas an actor represents a person or profile involved in agricultural activities. This separation makes it possible to organize business information independently from authentication mechanisms.
Activities also have their own participants. A person can take part in multiple activities, and each participation can contain specific information.
| Entity | Role in the Data Model |
|---|---|
User | User account and access information |
Actor | Business information about an actor |
Activity | Capacity-building activity |
ActivityParticipant | Association between an actor and an activity |
Features Designed for Field Operations
User and Permission Management
The system includes user, role, permission, and entity management. The objective is to tailor access to each profile's responsibilities while maintaining a consistent organization of business data.
Farmer Identification
AgriTrack includes a module for generating identification cards for farmers. This feature provides an identification document associated with actors registered on the platform.
Statistical Analysis
The application includes an advanced statistical analysis module for extracting insights from recorded data. Its indicators support the analysis of activities and participants, making the collected information more useful for operational monitoring.
A Full-Stack Architecture
The backend is built with Laravel, which handles business logic and data management. The user interface is developed with React and TypeScript.
This separation allows business rules to evolve on the server side while management interfaces evolve on the client side, with clearly defined responsibilities.
